## Tamil Literary Garden


The Tamil Literary Garden holds a distinction no other organization in the world can claim: we are the only institution dedicated exclusively to promoting Tamil language and literature on the international stage.

Tamil is one of humanity's oldest living languages — a cornerstone of global literary heritage. Yet for all its significance, it has received little organized support to bring its richness to the world. That is the gap we exist to fill.

Our work includes:
• Supporting the translation of Tamil literature into other languages
• Scholarships for students of Tamil studies
• Revival of ancient Tamil theatre
• Lecture series, publications, book launches, and workshops
• Our annual awards ceremony, globally recognized for honouring outstanding achievement in Tamil across fiction, poetry, scholarship, and Lifetime Achievement
